Fulham faces Liverpool

Fulham faces Liverpool at the Craven Cottage in a game from the 12th round of the Premier League. Can the Cottagers cause an upset against the champions? Let’s discuss.

Fulham are struggling since the beginning of the season, but they escaped the relegation zone at least. At this moment the Londoners are 17th in the table with 7 points, being one point above the 18th Burnley and the dangerous zone. This gives them some air, but they could fall under the line very quick and they know it.

Last week Fulham suffered their 8th loss for the 2020/21 season. Scott Parker’s team had a very tough visit to Manchester City at the Etihad which they lost with 0-2. Fulham conceded twice in the first half of the game and they didn’t have enough arguments to change the game after the break.

Liverpool continue to impress us with the way they deal with many injuries the team was hit lately. Even without their defensive leader Virgil van Dijk Liverpool are on par with the current leader in the Premier League Tottenham Hotspur – both teams have 24 points won so far. The only reason why Spurs are ahead is their better goal difference.

Last week the Reds secured their 7th win for the season. Jurgen Klopp’s boys made a terrific performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Anfield. Liverpool had fun in this game and it was visible. Mohamed Salah opened the score in the first half while Gini Wijnaldum and Joel Matip scored after the break. Wolves’ Nelson Semedo scored himself an own goal in the 78th minute.

That’s our preview for the Premier League game between Fulham and Liverpool at the Craven Cottage. The hosts will try to get something from this game, but it won’t be easy – Liverpool are playing more than good right now despite some players missing.
