Levante hosts Sevilla
Levante hosts Sevilla in a match from the 5th round of the Spanish La Liga. These are our views on this clash on Saturday afternoon.
Levante is currently 13th in the league standings with 4 points won and a record of one win, one draw and two defeats. They started the campaign with a win against Real Betis away from home, but in the next three matches, they were unable to win.
In their last game, Levante suffered a 0-1 defeat against Espanyol on the Catalonian soil. Paco Lopez’ team had some chances to score, but in the end, the veteran Sergio Garcia decided everything with a goal soon after the halftime break.
Sevilla is also not enjoying the best possible start of the new season. The Andalusians are currently 14th in the league standings with 4 points and a record of one win, one draw and two defeats. They also started with a win, beating Rayo Vallecano in the first round, but in their last two matches, they suffered losses against Real Betis and Getafe.
During the week Sevilla had a game in the Europa League as well. The Rojiblancos met Standard Liege at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and achieved a thrilling 5-1 win. Wissam Ben Yedder and Ever Banega scored braces for their team, while Franco Vasquez also scored a goal for the winning side.
For a club like Sevilla, it’s unacceptable to have just 4 points from the first 4 rounds. They are usually aiming for a place in the Champions League, so they have some serious catch up to do. And against Levante, it’s a good time to start winning once again.
This is our view at the La Liga game between Levante and Sevilla at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia. We wish you a good luck with this one.
